The problem with what you just said about changing the scenario, is that it is like ignoring the topic. Pro Life feels very stongly agianst all abortion, no matter what the circumstance. ProChoice gives the opportunity to make up your mind about whether to get one or not to. People often think that Pro Choice is Pro Abortion, while it is really just the chance to make a decision, whether that is abortion or not. It is cruel and unfair to tell a person that they are not allowed to get an abortion. It is a persons right to be able to decide for themselves. The bottom line with the scenario about the girl is that it happened. Whether it was one in a million is irrevalent. It is something that can't be ignored and her story needs to be heard. It happens more than we know. And whether women are WISE enough! Everything changes if a woman gets pregnant. It is not something to take lightly and eventually, women figure that out. All women? No. Most women? Yes. It is something that should be considered, not decided on a whim, and I believe women most definatly have the wisdom to decide about it.

Here is a WHOLE LIST of women who know they made the wrong decision. They admit right there they were not wise!Also: people who are pro choice are pro abortion because they favor abortion over life in certain circumstances.Also: one question: When do you believe life begins?

ReplyDeleteKatie if you want proof that there are one in a million chances then what if a baby had no brain. As it started to develop something went wrong and there is no way that the baby would survive outside the mother. Do you think that it is ok to have an abortion?
ReplyDeleteAight Paul Take a chill pill your not even aruging with me and this is sad. Some people just are not religious and beleive a baby isnt a baby until it has come out of the womb. Sure me and you beleive you are a human at conception but there are people who dont beleive it. That is why i think it should be pro choice since there are people who sometimes just don't beleive in the same things we do. I would never let my wife get an abortion but then again I cant decide things for other people. To me it is murder but to some other people it isn't. And there are rare circumstances as Emily and Katie said.
ReplyDeleteIt is not always the girl's choice to get pregnant, so if she already has that right ripped away from her, do you think she really wants to hear that she is forced to give birth, something that will change her ENTIRE life, whether she want to or not. Do you have any idea how that would affect a girl, emotionally?
ReplyDeleteAnd katie, not EVERY SINGLE story is publisized about young children getting pregnant. This girl was lucky. Her story was heard. Thousands of others each year are raped as extremely young children and are becoming pregnant. Whether you want to ignore this fact and pretend it isn't happening and start looking for proof is up to you. It is true that thousands of women regret abortion. There are millions who don't. Don't pretend that this is an easy choice to make and there is only one right answer because there isn't. WE ARE NOT PRO ABORTION and that is the biggest mistake Pro-Life people make. We are pro the ability to give a woman the right to DECIDE FOR HERSELF. We do not prefer abortion over life. WE prefer the choice given to a woman. Life begins when a baby becomes fully developed. That is my personal opinion and whether you agree with me about that or not is totally fine. Just consider my point of view without making rash decisions.

This is my personal opinion on the matter of Pro-Life, Pro-choice. i am Pro- Choice. i belive that a woman has the rite to choose weather or not she wants to have an abortion. i agree with etucci, what she is saying is true. we do not prefer abortion over life. we prefer that women have the choice to choose weather or not to get an abortion.
